Getting Involved

How you can get involved?
Before committing to a volunteering project, it is useful to consider the kind of skills you have to offer, the amount of time you are able to give and what you would like to get out of volunteering. Volunteering is a mutually beneficial experience and there will be benefits for you as well as for the organisation you are donating your time to.

Mentoring
Use this opportunity to get to know and work with someone outside your day-to-day work life. The impact of this type of support is phenomenal – mentoring can lead to being an ear, a shoulder, a guide and/or a guru and can potentially make the difference to many peoples lives.

Board Membership
Is it that time in your life where you feel you could become a board member or trustee? Project Shoreditch can organise opportunities within a variety of sectors and organisations which best fit your interests.

Business Volunteering
Work on a one off project and become a business volunteer. This may involve writing a business plan or working out a realistic budget and financials for a local charity. Many organisations simply need a business mind – someone used to working in a professional environment who can pass on skills and advice the organisation hoping to attract potential funders.
Marketing and PR
Your interest and expertise might be in marketing and PR. So why not work with Shoreditch groups to help raise their profile assist them to best market their business.

Team Challenges
You might just want to do get active – so why not team up with other colleagues to spend a day painting and decorating a school or project in Shoreditch.
